Dear me,
The modern woman is single.
Not always by choice.
And somehow… fine with it.
She craves the good stuff.
Intimacy.
Admiration.
Protection.
But they’ve been out of stock for a while now.
We all left our email:
“Notify me when available.”
But the inbox is still full of everything else —
just not that.
So the modern woman doesn’t just wait.
She adapts.
Skincare.
Zodiacs.
Headphones on.
Music as a shield.
Makeup as default.
Gym.
Yoga.
Busy.
Active.
Optimised.
Occasionally the wrong guy.
The modern woman has been broken too many times —
so she became unbreakable.
Untouchable to most.
Somewhere along the way,
she forgot to check the inbox again.
Dear me,
I am becoming the modern woman.
And I like her.
I’ve started shifting my desires and passions toward myself
over the last two months,
since I made a promise to us.
And now I’m refusing to believe
that I can admire someone I’ve never met
for what the media made me believe he is,
yet still be too arrogant
to admire —
the only person I truly have the power
to change, inside and out,
in every fucking way I wish to.Myself.
And here’s the underrated bonus:
when I subscribe to the inside upgrade,
I inevitably upgrade the outside —
like a return on my investment.
I want to be in control without losing my softness.
I’m starting to dress for the life I want,
not the one I have,
and I refuse to answer questions like:
“Why are you so dressed up?”
“Where are you going?”
I’m going to life.
If you don’t want to dress up,
maybe this is the life you want.
They’re both right.
They just don’t belong to the same woman.
Every next purchase
will be directed to this ultimate me fund.
The money maker.
The options collector.
The space.
The choice.
I’m not waiting for restocks.
I’m creating access.
I will pull this off.
Dear reader,
the next chapter will be shared differently.
Closer.
Rarefied.
Insular.
And that’s when things stop being modern.
A step out of the trend,
and a shift toward legacy —
a legacy-built, not born.
Dear me,
talking about legacy is ambitious, isn’t it?
But is this what becoming looks like —
getting absurdly confident?
If it does,
then I’m signing up for it again,
as I did two months ago
when those letters began.
I guess every legacy has a starting point, and this is ours.
