What a subscription includes
A 52 Sundays subscription gives you full access to every letter and chapter published so far, every future letter as it's written, every Writer's Note, and every Sunday Note. It also includes Talk to Tanya — one personal reply per week if you write in. This isn't a customer support inbox; it's one message back, most weeks, as time allows.
How you receive a letter
If you buy a single letter or a chapter, you'll always be able to read it on the website — and it's also included in full in your order confirmation email, so you have a copy in your inbox. Subscribers read every letter live on the site as it's published, and receive the complete Foundation Year as a digital book once the first 52 Sundays are finished, as described below.

Monthly: $9.99, billed every 30 days (regular price $12.99).
Yearly: $79.99, billed every 12 months (regular price $155.88).
These are current launch prices. If you subscribe now, you keep this price for as long as you stay subscribed without a gap — see "Price changes" below.
A live-written book, published on a live schedule
Letters are written and published weekly, in real time — this is a live, ongoing process, not a pre-scheduled release. On rare occasions, a letter may be delayed due to circumstances outside our control (technical issues or similar). If this happens, the letter will be published as soon as the issue is resolved. We don't guarantee an exact publication time for any given Sunday, only that each letter will go up as close to schedule as possible.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, using the payment method on file, until you cancel. This continues indefinitely — a yearly plan does not simply expire after one year, it renews into the next year automatically unless you cancel first.
What happens when the first 52 Sundays are complete
When the first year of letters (the Foundation Year) is finished, those letters leave the live, individually-purchasable archive. Subscribers who are still active at that point receive the completed Foundation Year as a digital book, free, as part of their subscription. Your subscription does not end here — it continues automatically into Year Two, a new 52-week cycle of letters, under the same billing terms.
How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page — no need to contact us, call anyone, or complete a retention flow. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will keep full access until that period ends, and will not be charged again after that.
No partial refunds on cancellation
Because access is granted for the full billing period upfront, cancelling partway through a period does not entitle you to a refund for the unused portion.
Price changes
If we ever change subscription pricing, existing active subscribers will be notified in advance and given the option to cancel before the new price takes effect. If your subscription lapses and you resubscribe later, the price in effect at that time applies — continuous, uninterrupted subscription is what protects your original rate.
Future tiers
We may introduce additional subscription tiers in the future — for example, an option offering more frequent personal correspondence. Any new tier will be optional; your existing plan and its terms will not change unless you choose to switch.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we'll attempt to process it again and notify you by email. If payment continues to fail, your subscription and access will be paused until it's resolved or you cancel.
